Bridging Yoga and Mental Healthcare: A Course for Mental Health Professionals and Nurses in Florence, Italy. May 7-12, 2018. 20 CEUS.

Bridging Yoga and Mental Healthcare is a continuing education course synthesizing yoga, somatic psychotherapy, and neuroscience research. This interdisciplinary course is designed for mental health professionals, yoga therapists, teachers, and students, and related disciplines, and includes instruction on the therapeutic use of chair and mat yoga postures; breathing practices; relaxation, including yoga nidra and iRest, and meditation. Practicums, with scripts, for trauma-sensitive chair yoga and the yogic three-part deep breath are included.
