Birth’s Hidden Legacy: How Somatic Impressions from birth set the stage for adult and child behaviors

Precognitive Impressions on the bodymind organize beliefs and behavior. Annie Brook, author and therapist, speaks from methods and case studies in her newest book, Birth’s Hidden Legacy. Annie addresses how to help clients to differentiate from their first impressions, and how these impressions shape response behavior. Annie blends neuroscience, Body-mind Centering and Psychotherapy, and attachment work to help clients of all ages understand and shift troubling behaviors. These include self-attack thinking, procrastination, obsessive thought, esteem issues, high arousal, or depressive states.

You will learn:

  • how precognitive experience shapes imago and identity
  • how the amygdala, hippocampus, and basal ganglia shape responses
  • what 3 things you can help clients do to begin to change behaviors
  • how to invite clients to explore earliest somatic impressions
